Meek Mill is learning from Jay-Z and it’s starting to show. Hov had been encouraging rappers to spend their money wisely for quite some time now and as a result, Meek is embracing that same attitude.
The Philadelphia rapper who once glorified materialism in his raps has clearly matured.
In his latest album Championships, the growth in Meek’s character is evident. On the track “What’s Free” featuring Jay-Z and Rick Ross, the trio of rappers took a more enlightening and uplifting approach. They spoke on ownership, prosperity, and encouragement rather than speaking on Rollie watches, luxury cars, and expensive jewelry.
He’s now inspiring other rappers to adopt the same mind frame for 2019. On Christmas Eve, the ex-battle rapper went to Twitter to issue his new challenge.
PSA: 2019 all rappers let’s start having a property and owning business challenge instead of Jewelery jets and cars, keep it up to par but let’s switch it up and level up so we can have money when we 50+ from years of hard work and grinding! Smarten up!!
