Machine Gun Kelly is capping off 2018 with a bang.
Following his highly-publicized feud with Eminem earlier this year, the Cleveland rapper decided to fire one more shot at his idol-turned-rival. Taking to Instagram on Saturday (Dec. 30), he reposted the video for his Em diss “Rap Devil” along with a scathing caption.
“just to piss y’all off one more time before the years over,” he wrote along with the middle finger and crying laughing emojis.
It seems like MGK is carrying his beef with Eminem into 2019. “y’all still BIG mad 😤🤷🏼♂️ fuck rap god im the rap devil 😈 goodbye 2018,” he added.
The comment follows a series of diss tracks. On “Not Alike” off his surprise album Kamikaze, Eminem took aim at MGK, who dissed him on Tech N9ne’s “No Reason.” “But next time you don’t gotta use Tech N9ne if you wanna come at me with a sub-machine gun,” he raps. “And I’m talking to you but you already know who the f**k you are, Kelly / I don’t use sublims and sure as f**k don’t sneak diss / But keep commenting on my daughter Hailie…”
In September, MGK fired back with “Rap Devil,” inspired by Em’s own 2013 track “Rap God,” on which he called out Marshall Mathers for being “sober and bored” and accused him of trying to “blackball” his career. He also attacked the rap veteran’s age (“Knees weak of old age / The real Slim Shady can’t stand up”) and even brought up his ex-wife Kim (“Already fucked one rapper’s girl this week / Don’t make me call Kim”).
Em reloaded with more rounds on the scathing “Killshot” later that month. He blasted Kelly’s sales (“My biggest flops are your greatest hits”) and dubbed him a “broke bitch” and the “wack” version of him. “I’d rather be 80-year-old me than 20-year-old you,” said Em.
MGK, who stars in Netflix’s upcoming Mötley Crüe biopic The Dirt, didn’t respond on record, but did address the diss during an interview with “The Breakfast Club.” “I actually had a clip ready, I heard ‘Killshot’ and I put that shit back in the holster,” he said. “My track record with beef isn’t Christina Aguilera and Mariah Carey. It’s all gorillas. I’ve went to war with nothing but gangsters, gorillas, and 450-pound security bouncers.”
As for Em, he claimed he wasn’t threatened by the 28-year-old MC. “I don’t give a fuck about your career. You think I actually fucking think about you?” he told Sway during a four-part interview. “You know how many fucking rappers that are better than you? You’re not even in the fucking conversation. I don’t care if you blow or if you don’t blow. Doesn’t matter to me.”
