Lil Wayne is revisiting Tha Carter V.
Two years since its release, a deluxe edition of Weezy’s 2018 album is set for release. Mack Maine shared the surprise announcement with TMZ, saying the project would arrive this Friday, Sept. 25.
The deluxe album, which has been teased with the hashtag #OGCV, will include songs that previously leaked online. According to fans, some of the track titles have already started appearing on Shazam and include “Life of Mr. Carter,” “Scottie,” and “More to the Story” featuring Raekwon.

In honor of Wayne’s 38th birthday, Mack Maine presented him with a 2020 McLaren 720S. The Young Money president shared footage of himself surprising a smiling Weezy with the $300,000 car. He can also be heard listening to “Life of Mr. Carter” while en route to Tunechi.
Tha Carter V was released on Sept. 28, 2018, following a highly-publicized legal battle with Birdman.
Wayne has been steadily releasing his old music to streaming services. Over the summer, he dropped No Ceilings and his Free Weezy Album. He is now working on No Ceilings 3 and Tha Carter VI.
