Fans who had high hopes of watching Lil Wayne perform at the 2019 Rolling Loud Festival were sadly disappointed.
Weezy announced that he was no longer gracing the stage at the festival on Twitter because they made it mandatory that he gets searched and policed while being on stadium grounds. Tunechi’s argument was that he was there to work and shouldn’t have to endure feeling like a criminal just to do his job.
“To all my fans who came to see me at Rolling Loud, I’m sorry but I won’t be performing,” Tunechi tweeted. “The Festival Police (Not Rolling Loud) made it mandatory that I had to be policed and checked to get on the stadium grounds. I do not and will not ever settle for being policed to do my job and give you guys a great show.”
But he did end the tweet on a light note. “I will be at Story tonight for the afterparty and you kan katch me on tour with my bros Blink 182 this summer!” Weezy added in another tweet.

Luckily for Rolling Loud, Meek Mill was in the area and took the stage in Lil Wayne’s place.
