every second of everyday is spent falling in love in a new way. every second of love feels different than the last. i remember praying for you. i remember asking for you out loud. i remember our identical cry we shared the first minute we met. mommy has done many things in life but you are by far my first BEST thing. the long nights spent with staring contests while you and i stay up together eeeeeven if i wanna tape my eyelids open, you make beautiful. the days where i feel out of body and physically out of touch, you remind me i’ve made magic, and my body is godly. mornings with you is like getting a personal sunrise within inches from my face every single day. thank you for choosing me. thank you for finding me. thank you for loving me with those big googly eyes and dimpled cheeks. your little spirit could’ve picked anyone and here it is, with me. i am the luckiest. i love you more than you’ll ever ever ever ever know Yaya. happy mother’s day all my mommy’s out there, birthing/non birthing/step etc… however you stepped into this role, i applaud you in every which way. i’m overwhelmed with joy. mommy’s make the world go round 🧡
