Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West‘s Adidas sales aren’t taking a major hit for better or worse from his political talk. New reports claim the hip-hop star’s camp has shut down speculation about his signature Yeezy kicks not selling out because of his publicized President Donald Trump support.
Despite not selling out like past releases last Saturday, Ye’s team is confident in the Yeezy Mauve 700 sneaker not suffering from Ye’s politics.
Sources close to Kanye say the shade is ridiculous, because product volume was up nearly 10-fold compared to releases in the past. Short story — more shoes moved this time than in previous releases. As for the Yeezy brand, it’s still at the top, and our sources say it was recently valued at several billion dollars, with that number expected to grow by year’s end. Kanye’s set for another shoe release Nov. 9 … we’re told that will be a big drop too, and another step in the direction of Kanye’s goal — Yeezys for everybody. (TMZ)
A few days ago, social media acknowledged Kanye’s sneakers not selling out as some fans might have expected.

Some media outlets have speculated on Ye’s habits over the past few years creating mixed feelings amongst consumers.
“Throughout the past two years, conversation about Kanye West across social channels has been more negative than the average A-list male celebrity benchmark, with his positive to negative sentiment ratio being 24 percent lower than [his peers’],” the research platform, which analyzes millions of data points in the celebrity endorsement space, said in a report. “Additionally, Kanye’s behavior has also had a large impact on consumers’ perception of him, with Spotted’s data showing that consumers see Kanye as “wacky,” ranking higher than 97 percent of other celebrities for this attribute.” (Footwear News)
West shocked fans by hitting up Twitter and sharing statements about distancing himself away from politics.
I support creating jobs and opportunities for people who need them the most, I support prison reform, I support common-sense gun laws that will make our world safer.

I support those who risk their lives to serve and protect us and I support holding people who misuse their power accountable.
I believe in love and compassion for people seeking asylum and parents who are fighting to protect their children from violence and war.

I would like to thank my family, loved ones, and community for supporting my ACTUAL beliefs and my vision for a better world.

I introduced Candace to the person who made the logo and they didn’t want their name on it so she used mine. I never wanted any association with Blexit. I have nothing to do with it.

My eyes are now wide open and now realize I’ve been used to spread messages I don’t believe in. I am distancing myself from politics and completely focusing on being creative !!!
