Kanye West Shares Presidential Campaign Ad

Kanye West’s bid for the White House is not over.

With three weeks until the election, the presidential hopeful has shared his official campaign ad, which he posted on Twitter and his kanye2020.country website. Standing in front of a black-and-white American flag, Mr. West explains his platform, which focuses on faith and family.

“We as a people will revive our nation’s commitment to faith, to what our constitution calls the free exercise of religion, including of course, prayer,” he says in the 90-second spot. “Through prayer, faith can be restored.”

“We will build a stronger country by building stronger families. Families are the building blocks of society,” he adds as the commercial flashes to photos of a young Ye and his family. “By turning to faith, we will be the kind of nation, the kind of people God intends us to be.”

While he missed the ballot for most states, he is asking voters to write in his name. He did appear on the California ballot as a vice presidential candidate for the American Independent Party with Roque “Rocky” De La Fuente Guerra as the presidential candidate.

To coincide with his 2020 run, he has launched a line of Vote Kanye merch, including hats and hoodies, which have resulted in over $860,000 in sales.

Kanye, who recently reactivated his Instagram account, is confident he will make a great president, even if it doesn’t happen until 2024.

“The reason why I know eventually — eventually could be three months, eventually could be three and a half years — the reason why I eventually will make a great president is because I’m sensitive,” he told The New York Times. “I’m here to serve. Even as a Gemini, I feel the energy in the room, I read body language, I read this energy, and I hurt. I hurt for the country, I hurt not just Black people, but all people of America. And I hurt for all people of the world.”
