Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West sees way more than a president when he sees President Donald Trump. The hip-hop star has dished on his love and appreciation for the head of state from the White House.
Throughout the past hour, footage has emerged of Kanye sitting at Trump’s desk and explaining why he’s so ride or die for the most powerful man in the country.
“I love Hillary, I love everyone, right? But the campaign, ‘I’m With Her,’ just didn’t make me feel, as a guy, that didn’t get to see my dad all the time, like, a guy that could play catch with his son. There was something about when I put that hat on it made me feel like Superman. You made a Superman. That was my favorite superhero. You made a Superman cape for me. Also as a guy who looks up to you, who looks up to Ralph Lauren, looks up to American industry guys, non-political, no bullsh*t, put the bleep on it, however you want to do it, five seconds delay, and just goes in and gets it done. Right now, you gave me the heart to go to Adidas because at Adidas, when I went in, in 2015 and we were 14 billion dollar company losing 2 billion dollars a year, now we have a 38 billion dollar market cap. It’s called the Yeezy effect.”

A few days ago, Adidas CEO Kasper Rorsted reacted to news about his brand ambassador Kanye West supposedly meeting up with Trump in 48 hours.
“You know when you work with a creator like Kanye West, you don’t get mainstream. We’ve been extremely happy with our relationship with Kanye West. I’m meeting him Wednesday night for dinner. He’s been a fantastic ambassador for the company and he still will be. I don’t even know if he’s going to Trump but I’m having dinner with him Wednesday night and I’ve been very happy with our relationship. … We have a wide range of new models coming out next year and we think what we bring to the market next year with Kanye West is going to be really hot in the industry.” (CNBC)

Hours prior, reports emerged about Kanye planning on meeting with Trump at the White House this Thursday.
Mr. West, who has faced a backlash over his vocal support of the president, will meet first with Mr. Kushner and then have lunch with the president, the two people said. Mr. Kushner, who serves as a senior adviser to Mr. Trump, has been focused on overhauling the criminal justice system, and one person briefed on the meeting said that Mr. West wanted to discuss the availability of job opportunities for former convicts. He also hopes to discuss with Mr. Trump how to increase the number of manufacturing jobs in the Chicago area, where Mr. West grew up and recently said he planned to return, according to the person briefed on the meeting.
