The wait for Yandhi continues.
Fresh off performing with Kid Cudi at Camp Flog Gnaw on Sunday (Nov. 11), Kanye West has announced that his highly-anticipated new album won’t be arriving on Black Friday (Nov. 23) as originally planned. Taking to Twitter, he revealed that the album is not quite ready. A new release date will be announced at a later time.
“It felt so good being on the stage last night with my brother Cudi,” tweeted Kanye. “After performing again, I realize the new album I’ve been working on isn’t ready yet. I’ll announce the release date once it’s done. Thank you for understanding.”

Yandhi was originally due Sept. 29, but it was delayed until Black Friday. Last month, the G.O.O.D. Music boss traveled to Africa to record more material for the project.
The follow-up to June’s ye is expected to include appearances from XXXTentacion, 6ix9ine, Ty Dolla $ign, and Nicki Minaj, who appears on a song about body shaming. “It’s a Ye concept,” he told TMZ. “I’m taking two stigmas at once because I love taking stigmas and flipping ’em to a positive—negative energy to a positive.”
Yandhi‘s delay follows Kanye’s recent comments about “distancing” himself from politics after Candace Owens falsely used his name on shirts supporting the “Blexit” campaign to encourage African-Americans to leave the Democratic Party. “My eyes are now wide open and now realize I’ve been used to spread messages I don’t believe in,” tweeted Ye. “I am distancing myself from politics and completely focusing on being creative!!!”
