Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are sharing a tense moment with the world.

During Sunday’s episode of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” the superstar couple was seen confronting each other over Kim’s fashion choice at the annual Met Gala in May. Kanye expressed disapproval over his wife’s latex corseted Thiery Muggler dress, which he thought was too sexy.

“I went through this transition where being a rapper, looking at all these girls and looking at my wife, like, ‘Oh my girl needs to be just like the other girls showing their body off,’” he told Kim (via PEOPLE). “I didn’t realize that that was affecting my soul and my spirit as someone who is married and the father of now … about to be four kids. A corset is a form of underwear, it’s hot, for who though?”

But Kim wasn’t receptive to the criticism. “So the night before the Met you’re going to come in here and say that you’re not into a corset vibe?” she responded. “You’re giving me really bad anxiety. You knew last night I had really bad anxiety and I don’t need any more negative energy and for you say you’re now not into me wearing a tight dress.”

Kanye fired back: “You are my wife and it affects me when pictures are too sexy,” to which Kim replied, “You built me up to be this sexy person and confidence and all this stuff, and just because you’re on a journey and you’re on your transformation doesn’t mean I’m in the same spot with you.”

At that point, a visibly annoyed Kanye decided to leave the room. “Okay, alright. Okay, alright cool,” he said before Kim vented to her friend Jonathan Cheban: “That’s absolutely ridiculous.”

Despite the behind-the-scenes drama, the couple was able to move past it. Kim stepped out to the Met Gala in her dripping wet look, which took eight months to make.

“This is the first time in 20 years Mr. Mugler has designed for the House of Mugler,” she told Vogue on the red carpet. “So to come and design this gown for me is such an honor. This is about eight months in the making. He envisioned me this California girl stepping out of the ocean, wet, dripping.”
