Kanye West and JAY-Z are back in business.
Fresh off their reunion at Diddy’s 50th birthday, TMZ reports that the hip-hop moguls have settled their legal feud involving TIDAL.
A resolution was reached earlier this year and both parties are satisfied with the outcome. They’ve already teamed up on projects including Kanye’s hip-hop opera, “Nebuchadnezzar,” which streamed exclusively on TIDAL last month. More collaborations are reportedly in the works.
In 2017, Kanye split from TIDAL and threatened legal action, claiming he was owed $3.5 million, due in part to bonuses from The Life of Pablo, an exclusive that helped bring 1.5 million new subscribers to the streaming service.
The Watch the Throne collaborators have had their personal and professional issues throughout the years. Kanye called out JAY-Z and BeyoncĂ© on stage during his “Saint Pablo Tour” in November 2016 before JAY clapped back on his 4:44 track “Kill JAY-Z.”
Their relationship seems to be on the mend. On Saturday, Kanye reunited with his “Big Brother” in public for the first time in years at Diddy’s 50th birthday bash. Video footage showed the two smiling and sharing a laugh before posing for a group photo alongside Diddy and Pharrell.
