“Empire” star Jussie Smollett could find himself removed from his hit series after all. New reports claim the actor has some potential new legal heat headed his way big enough to cost him his role as Jamal Lyon.
According to reports, the City of Chicago is demanding he pays $130,000 for overtime used to investigate his hate crime attack and prepared for a courtroom showdown.
If Jussie fights it in court, his “attack” case will be fully litigated. A judge will have to decide if the attack was fake before deciding whether Jussie is required to pay. If a judge rules the attack was fake, it gives the honchos at “Empire” all the ammo they need to say he’s fired, despite the fact the State’s Attorney has dismissed the criminal case. (TMZ)
This week, New York rapper 50 Cent trolled Jussie with an R. Kelly meme.

On Tuesday, reports emerged about Smollett having his case dropped after initially facing serious jail time.
Smollett, 36, was seen arriving at a Chicago courtroom around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday for an emergency hearing. Following his court appearance, his attorneys released a statement saying that the actor’s “record has been wiped clean of the filing of this tragic complaint against him.” (NBC News)
