Joyner Lucas and Tomi Lahren won’t be coming face-to-face.
The rapper says he won’t meet with the conservative commentator after his controversial video for “Devil’s Work,” in which he pleads with God to bring back Tupac Shakur, Nipsey Hussle, and Michael Jackson in exchange for Suge Knight, R. Kelly, Laura Ingraham, and Tomi Lahren, whose photos are included alongside caskets in a funeral setting.
“I really feel like you should teach them stupid hoes a lesson / Either that or give us back somebody who deserves the blessings,” raps Lucas in reference to Lahren and Ingraham.
After the video went viral, the Fox Nation correspondent lashed out at Lucas for the depiction. “Truly disgusting,” tweeted Lahren. “You don’t have to like me or respect me but this is too far. This isn’t ‘art’ it’s sick.”
She also sent Lucas a direct message, which he shared with his Instagram followers. “Although I don’t appreciate you depicting and calling for my death in your latest music video, I would like to sit down and talk with you on or off camera. Maybe we can find some common ground,” she wrote.

After considering the idea, Lucas has decided not to meet with Lahren. “I created ‘I’m not racist’ so we can have conversations that need to be had and get a level of understanding of each other,” he wrote on Instagram Stories.
He continued to explain his reasoning. “But…..speaking to tomi wouldn’t be productive because she’s already talked to countless rappers about their views and feelings and all she did was shit on them. I’m setting myself up for failure if I have that conversation. She isn’t rational or understanding on any level. Her aim is to make us look crazy on national television. I’m not doing it. sorry not sorry.”
Lucas echoed the sentiment during an interview with TMZ. “Nah, I ain’t got nothing to say to her,” he said before telling Lahren to “get her act together.”
Added Lucas, “The thing I don’t understand is when I exercise my First Amendment right and have freedom of speech and say what’s on my mind, why it’s an issue. That’s the same shit Tomi Lahren do, that’s the same shit Laura Ingraham do, that’s the same shit Donald Trump do, that’s the same shit everybody that I’m speaking about on the song, that’s what they’ve done.”
