Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx isn’t looking to have Kanye West run the country. The popular crooner and actor has stepped forward to weigh-in on the possibility of Yeezy’s name popping up on the presidential election ballot.

This week, Jamie low-key crept into the comments section of former NBA champion and current Black Lives Matter activist Stephen Jackson sharing his issues with Ye’s presidential bid. While Jackson shared a screenshot from radio personality DJ Hed saying people should stop supporting celebrity candidates with no political experience, Foxx took things a step further with a major co-sign.

Kanye Trump. Fool u once shame on them fool u twice u and 2x fool. #justiceforgeorgefloyd #justiceforbreonnataylor and so many more. #ivehadenough of the clown sh*t. Love for all who have love for all✊🏿✊🏻✊🏾✊🏼✊🏽✊ Leader of The New School. Leading with Love. Demanding not asking.” -Stephen Jackson’s Instagram

High-Key Details

Heading into Monday, fellow ex-NBA champion Matt Barnes hit up Instagram to rip Kanye. Barnes questioned anyone’s support of Yeezy in his quest for the presidency but made sure to let people know he didn’t have any problem with West’s music career.

“This is a dangerous game he’s playing. If this is serious, he will definitely divide the minority vote!! Just remember comments like “slavery was a choice” and how buddy buddy he is w trump! Much respect for the artist & his impact on fashion but this is a 🗣HUGE F*CK NO 4 PRESIDENT‼️” -Matt Barnes’ Instagram

Wait, There’s More

The Grammy-winning rapper wants to make America Ye again. The hip-hop superstar came forward this past weekend to announce he’d make a last-minute run for the presidency. On the Fourth of July, Mr. West went to his social media channels to break the massive news. Kanye didn’t announce which party he would go with but said he’s going for the presidency in 2020.

“We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States 🇺🇸! #2020VISION” -Kanye West’s Twitter

Before You Go

In fall 2019, Kanye also hinted at plans to go for the head of state job. However, Ye previously said he had the 2024 presidency job on his mind.

This is not the first time West has talked about running for the biggest job in the country, but now he seems determined, based on his word choice. The Grammy winner was open about his ambitions as recently as this past November, when he said “When I run for president in 2024, we would’ve created so many jobs that I’m not going to run, I’m going to walk” during an event this past November. (Forbes)
