Jack Harlow’s got game.
The Louisville rapper is set to make his acting debut in 20th Century’s reboot of White Men Can’t Jump.
According to Deadline, the 23-year-old will take on the lead role of Billy Hoyle, famously played by Woody Harrelson in Ron Shelton’s 1992 sports comedy. The original movie, which also starred Wesley Snipes and Rosie Perez, follows two street basketball rivals who team up to hustle other players.
Harlow reportedly landed the starring role after his first-ever screen audition and immediately won over producers, including Kenya Barris.
Calmatic (Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road”) will direct a script written by Barris (Coming 2 America) and Doug Hall. Barris and his Khalabo Ink Society banner are producing. Blake Griffin, Ryan Kalil, and Noah Weinstein are executive producing through Mortal Media.
Harlow recently showed off his skills on the court while playing in the NBA All-Star Weekend Celebrity Game in Cleveland, where he scored multiple 4-point plays.
Last month, he released his new single “Nail Tech,” which debuted at No. 18 on the Billboard Hot 100.
