J. Cole Performs at NBA All-Star Game Halftime Show

J. Cole brought it home for NBA All-Star Weekend.

The Fayetteville rapper took over the court for the halftime show during the 2019 NBA All-Star Game at Charlotte’s Spectrum Center in his homestate of North Carolina on Sunday night (Feb. 17).

Sporting a vintage Charlotte Hornets jacket and Fear of God jeans, the Dreamville boss delivered a 10-minute medley of old and new hits, starting with his new single “Middle Child.” Perched atop a clear platform on the court, Cole gave the crowd something they could feel. He then descended the stairs and walked through the crowd while performing his “a lot” verse and shouting out his collaborator: “21 Savage. We love you.”

Cole’s All-Star jam continued with KOD‘s “ATM” before slowing things down with his “favorite song,” “Love Yourz,” as the arena lit up with cell phones. He capped off the performance with 2014 Forest Hills Drive‘s “No Role Modelz.”

Expect much more from Dreamville in 2019. Cole is set to release his sixth studio album as well as Dreamville’s Revenge of the Dreamers III compilation. “This gon be a tough year for haters,” he previously tweeted.

Prior to Cole, Meek Mill soundtracked the introduction of the All-Star teams, performing a Championships medley, beginning with the album “Intro.” Surrounded by flames and six female dancers, he turned up with his Drake-assisted hit “Going Bad.” After Team Giannis took the stage, Meek brought it back with “Dreams and Nightmares (Intro).”

The winning streak continued. Meek also pocketed $4,000 after sinking a 3-point shot, documenting the victory on Instagram.
