Low ticket Poohda is one of Alabama’s most prestigious talents on the come up out of Mobile. He has cultivated a sound that is versatile and consistent to the new wave of this music era. With the heart of Rod Wave samples like Kanye and tales of the hood; Poohda has set the bar high amongst the Alabama music scene. His new single
“Don’t Fall for Me” Features Hunxho and is produced by super producer Mercy Beats Official. Understanding Atlanta’s music culture and demand for a Mercy track when establishing your sound, it’s not surprising that he would pick a mercy beat to feature. We asked Poohda how did this hit collaboration come about and he explained :
“I met Hunxho in Alabama at a local venue in my city. He was performing and I was opening up for him and our managers arranged a meeting. Before the show we chopped it up and he had good energy. I’m very picky about what I connect my brand to; so when the opportunity was presented to me shortly after, I jumped on it right away. I already had the record in the works with Mercy and my team agreed this was the right song to feature him on”.
Poohda tells us this is one of his favorite records next to his song Derrick Carr featuring Kidd Kidd if Squad up. He has high hopes that the fans will appreciate the two different perspectives of the record. May even make this his first viral hit!
“Don’t Fall For Me” is a melodic rap song that is heartfelt with many ways to perceive the track. Whereas Hunxho focuses on the struggle and the need for God because of where he is from, Poohda seems to be more broad and directs his energy towards the ladies.
Born in New Orleans, Louisiana and fleeing to Mobile, Alabama during Katrina. Poohda has a very southern, country demeanor. It’s important to highlight both cities as they both make up the man he has grown to be. Not proclaiming to be in the streets, he makes music for the streets he hustled and grew up in.
