Fabolous is ducking jail time for his domestic violence case.
TMZ reports New Jersey authorities will reject the rapper’s charges if he avoids any run ins with the law for a year and finishes a pretrial intervention program. The program is intended to prevent future criminal conduct and is ordinarily offered to first-time offenders. The Brooklyn rapper isn’t required to take any anger management classes, but he has to provide monthly updates to the Bergen County Courts.
The Hip Hop vet’s charges stem from a physical altercation he had with longtime girlfriend and baby’s mother, Emily B, and her dad. It was reported that the 41-year-old got into a heated debated with Emily and struck her multiple times, subsequently knocking out her front teeth. Following the alleged assault, Emily asked her dad and brother to come confiscate Fabolous’ guns, as she was worried he’d use them against her. At the point when Fab discovered the weapons were gone, he reportedly threatened to kill Emily, her dad, and her brother, as indicated by NorthJersey.com.
The vicious trade was caught all on camera at the couple’s Englewood, New Jersey home. The Young OG was seen approaching the stylist’s dad wielding a pair of scissors. Afterwards he was indicted on one count of domestic violence with significant bodily injury, two counts of threatening to kill, and one count of possession of a weapon. He was facing up to 20 years in prison.
The plea deal came as no surprise to many because both Emily and her dad were by his side as everything unfolded.
