Shady’s back on top.
Eminem earns his historic 10th No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart with Music to Be Murdered By. The surprise set, which was released without warning on Jan. 17, debuted with 279,000 equivalent album units, of which 117,000 are in album sales.
It becomes Eminem’s first No. 1 album since Kamikaze, which surprise dropped in August 2018. Eminem is the sixth act with at least 10 No. 1 albums and also ties Kanye West for the most consecutive No. 1 debuts on the Billboard 200, as Music to Be Murdered By is his 10th consecutive chart-topping album.
Elsewhere, Halsey’s Manic debuts at No. 2 with 239,000 equivalent album units, earning the biggest week for a No. 2 album since Beyoncé’s Lemonade notched 321,000 units in its second week in May 2016.
Mac Miller earns the third and final top 10 debut of the week with his posthumous album Circles, which opens at No. 3 with 164,000 equivalent album units (61,000 in album sales). It marks the late rapper’s sixth top 10 and biggest week since Billboard began ranking by equivalent album units in December 2014.
Elsewhere in the top 10, Roddy Ricch’s Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial falls 2-4 with 103,000 equivalent album units, while Post Malone’s Hollywood’s Bleeding dips 4-5 (53,000). Moneybagg Yo’s Time Served slides 3-7 (37,000) and DaBaby’s Kirk falls 5-8 (37,000).
