With R&B’s biggest stars hitting the stage Sunday (September 30) at Newark, New Jersey’s Prudential Center, SOHH’s hyped to check out Bell Biv DeVoe, Bobby Brown, Brandy, Dru Hill, 702 and Tamia all throw down on their biggest hits. Here are five classics we can’t leave the iconic venue without seeing performed live.
1. 702’s Where My Girls At
Is is an ab-SOHH-lute turn up record. If you’re in need of feeling right and bae needs to get turned up alongside you, this is very necessary to see performed in front of a packed crowd.
2. Dru Hill’s Sleeping In My Bed
Dru Hill is back and while their new music is still fire, it’s nothing bigger than their “Sleeping In My Bed” classic. Easily one of their most memorable classics to this day and one you can still blast anytime you hit the road.
3. Bobby Brown’s Don’t Be Cruel
As much as we love Bobby Brown, this record is simply about the beat. The production on “Don’t Be Cruel” comes across as nothing less than amazing. Add a little Bobby to the instrumental and you have an R&B classic.
4. Bell Biv DeVoe’s Poison
“Never trust a big butt and a smile.” Enough said.
5. Tamia’s Stranger In My House
Tamia has classics in her stash but this one is a certified smash. Getting the chance to witness greatness take the stage and croon out this tune could highlight the entire night.
