Drake’s Toronto Restaurant Reportedly Shutdown Over Unpaid Rent

The saying minor setback for a major comeback seems to be a motto that Drake will be using as motivation for the upcoming year. As the year ends, the rapper has not only faced being boo’ed off of the stage by Camp Flog Gnaw fans but now he seems his Toronto restaurant, Pick Six, seems to allegedly be getting shut down due to unpaid rent.

November 18th, Pick Six staff posted a notice on the restaurant’s doors stating that the restaurant would be temporarily closing down due to flooding. November 21st, a notice from the building’s property manager stated otherwise. According to Daily Hive, the restaurant is closed down from owing up to $67,514.73 in unpaid rent.

“We have always paid rent on time and this month is no different, despite a number of issues with the building – including two floods in the past two years due to issues with the pipes,” said Pick Six’s operations manager, Jeff Darby. “We plan to continue to work with the landlord to resolve any misunderstanding and get back to repairing the restaurant from the water damage. We want to thank our customers for their patience and hope to reopen again in the new year.”

In 2018, Pick Six had to close down due to water damage in the restaurant making this the second time the space had to close due to flooding. Drake has yet to speak out on these allegations.
