OVO Fest is coming back.
Drake has announced that his festival will return to Toronto this summer after taking a hiatus in 2018. During a victory parade celebrating the Raptors’ first-ever NBA Championship on Monday (June 17), the team’s global ambassador and superfan took the stage to share the exciting news.
“I hope that all these guys will join me this year, because we’re bringing OVO Fest back, so I hope we can go crazy,” Drizzy told the massive crowd, who erupted with cheers.

OVO Fest has been an annual event since 2010, but it took a year off in 2018 while Drake was on his “Aubrey & the Three Migos Tour.” It has featured appearances from hip-hop and R&B’s biggest stars in the past including Eminem, JAY-Z, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, The Weeknd, and Kendrick Lamar.
No date or additional information has been announced, but OVO Fest typically coincides with the annual Toronto Caribana festival, which is held during the Civic Holiday weekend in early August.
During Monday’s rally, the 6 God also toasted the Raptors’ victory. “You deserve this. These moments are few and far between,” he told the players and fans, adding, “We are the NBA 2019 champions of the world.”
On Friday, Drake celebrated the win by dropping his “Best in the World Pack” featuring two new tracks, “Omertà” and “Money in the Grave” featuring Rick Ross.
