Just before the weekend, DJ Khaled revealed his Father of Asahd album will drop on May 17 in a video clip that featured Diddy stating he has got his No Way Out, alluding the project is a classic. Continuing the road to the album, Khaled served as the host of the 2019 Kid Choice Awards.
Speaking with Billboard, Khaled revealed more details about the project and lets fans know there are pieces of the project that are unpredictable.
“‘Father of Asahd’ is my best work up to date. My son is executive-producing it,” Khaled told Billboard. “Expect a lot of surprises. It’s coming, it’s close, it’s near.”
Heading into the album, DJ Khaled has been seen with Buju Banton traveling to Jamaica and working on music that presumably would be featured on the album.
Late last year, Khaled spoke with The SOURCE stating “I just came off Grateful, one of my biggest albums, but Father of Asahd is something that I’m really taking my time and putting together. I think that’s how I should always go into every album.”
