Music mogul Diddy knows the importance of March 12. The hip-hop icon has paid his respect to late protégé Craig Mack a year after his unexpected death.
On Tuesday, Puff Daddy went to Instagram with a vintage pic and words for the unforgettable “Flava In Ya Hear” hitmaker.

A new documentary focused on Mack’s post-rap career is currently in production and nearing release.
In that year, a documentary on Mack’s life, which began filming just before he died, is closer to completion. “When God Comes,” directed by photojournalist Andrew Theodorakis, focuses on the rapper, the so-called cult he joined and the controversial leader who is accused of sexual misconduct involving at least three women. Despite having hit songs in the 90’s, Mack eventually traded fame for religion.
Mack’s fierce breakout single “Flava in Your Ear” laid the foundation for Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ Bad Boy Label in the early 90’s. The record was also nominated for a Grammy Award. But almost a decade ago, the hip-hop legend denounced the baller life and moved to South Carolina to be part of the Overcomer Ministry Church. (The Grio)
