Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder Damon “Dame” Dash wants some respect placed on his name. The hip-hop executive has come forward to address a report claiming he’s financially hurting.

On Thursday, Dame went to Instagram to shut down a TMZ headline and downplay the hard-hitting “broke” headline.

According to the report, Dash recently filed legal paperwork claiming he couldn’t pay back $2,400 in a business lawsuit.

Dash says he doesn’t have the dough. He says he has no salary and depends solely on his business to make income, but the biz is making zero profits so he can’t pay. Dash says the only revenue stream he has is from Lee Daniels, who owed him $2 million. We posted video last year of Dash confronting Daniels at a Diana Ross concert, demanding payment. Daniels subsequently agreed to repay Dash.

Over the summer, footage emerged of music personality Adam22 claiming Dash charged him $500 for a “No Jumper” interview.

A few days prior, music manager Wack 100 didn’t hold back on checking Dame Dash for trashing ex-business partner JAY-Z in the Q&A.
