It was a big night for DaBaby at the 2019 BET Hip Hop Awards.
With his album KIRK sitting on top on the charts, the rap phenom took the stage for three performances during Tuesday’s show. Backed by a gospel choir, he shared his journey on the autobiographical “Intro” off KIRK before turning up with Offset on “Babysitter.”
Joined by Lil Baby, he kept the party going with their Control the Streets Volume 2 collaboration “Baby.”
And the young CEO showed no signs of cooling off as he joined Megan Thee Stallion for their collabo “Cash Shit.” Dripping in a sparkly red tracksuit, DaBaby delivered his spitfire verse alongside the Houston hottie. Hot Girl Meg also drove the boat alongside her sailer Hotties while performing her “Hot Girl Summer” anthem.
To cap off the evening, DaBaby went home with the award for Best New Hip Hop Artist, which he accepted alongside his mother. “It’s nothing short of a blessing, it’s a pleasure to share the same stage, share the same building as all these legends in here,” he told the crowd. “I don’t take it lightly at all, especially coming from that foe.”
