Chris Brown is clearing his name.

On Thursday (June 13), someone using the singer’s Instagram handle left shady comments about his ex Karrueche Tran’s boyfriend Victor Cruz. But Chris is denying any wrongdoing. Hours later on Friday morning, he took to Instagram, claiming his social accounts were hacked.

“People going out they way. Leave them people alone and stop creating unnecessary drama! Whoever’s been DM any of my followers or commenting as me is lame asf,” he wrote on his Instagram Story.

He also posted a photo of a passport, saying that he was a victim of identity theft. “The lengths people go through to be a fake ass bitch! Does amuse me! I got sent this by someone claiming to be Chris Brown on Facebook.”

In another IG message, he also called out the culprit for trying to set him off course. “Nahhh B. . ain’t gone be that easy to distract me/us from the GOAL!” he wrote.

Brown made headlines after he—or someone pretending to be him—responded to a photo of Karrueche and Cruz by insulting the former NFL star’s style.

“No shade boo, BUT PLEAS STLYE HIM. He look like he shopping off the manikin and trying to bargain wit the sales manager. Retired wrestler spanks. IM FUCKING AROUND … good bless,” read one message, while he added, “UPGRADE HIM SIS. I’ll take him around to style him. NOT HATE. He just need some game spirit.”

Chris and Karrueche broke up in March 2015 following reports that Chris fathered a child with another woman. He is now gearing up to release his new album Indigo on June 28 featuring the Drake-assisted hit “No Guidance.”
