According to several reports and social media tributes, Chicago drill rapper Edai 600 was shot and killed over the weekend.
Edai, whose real name is Cordai Ealy, was reportedly shot several times in his back on the early morning of August 1, according to a recording of a Chicago Police scanner. No arrests have been made in the shooting.
Edai was the founder of Team 600 Ent. and gained his national notoriety when he dropped his 2012 hit “Gucci” and gained more fame with his hits “How I’m Drillin, “Koopa The King” and “Forgotten”.
Ealy leaves behind a wife and daughter.
Several drill rappers, including Young Money Dre, showed their condolences for Edai in social media posts.
