Cardi B Tells Fans When They’ll Realize She Fell Off: ‘Y’All Will See When My Time’s Over”

New York rapper Cardi B isn’t ready to put down the crown. The hip-hop star has reflected on her monstrous career and why haters should stop praying on her downfall.

Cardi went to her Instagram Live this week to address fans and doubters alike about continuing to win in 2018.

“Why can’t y’all just stop making rumors trying to make me look like I’m over? When my time is over, y’all will see when my time is over. My numbers will be going down, I’m not going to be on the charts. People will stop f*cking with me. You will see it. But God’s saying it’s not my time yet. So just relax. Enjoy the show and worry about your life. A lot of people are invested. This is the thing I don’t like about the Internet nowadays because nowadays people are invested a lot in celebrities’ lives. You want to know something? When I was 18, when I was 19, the Internet wasn’t popping too much. People was just doing money, trying to get money. I didn’t give a f*ck about no celebrity – stop worrying about that. Y’all are lucky. We are lucky. We are in the Internet era bro.”

This week, Cardi reacted to becoming the first female rapper with three Hot 100 chart-topping singles.

According to reports, Cardi is possibly making demands about performing at Super Bowl LIII in February.

Our sources say Cardi is in negotiations to perform her song with Maroon 5, “Girls Like You” — and the main issue being discussed is whether or not CB gets a solo set. We’re told she’s getting a lot of offers to perform in early February … so she’s trying to make the best deal possible. Super Bowl LIII is being held in Atlanta, and some fans were hoping the NFL would give props to the ATL’s hot music scene. (TMZ)

A few days ago, buzz developed about the NFL possibly targeting Cardi and Houston rap star Travis Scott to pull through as halftime guest performers.

Maroon 5 will be headlining the Super Bowl LIII Halftime show, a source confirms to Billboard. While special guest appearances for the performance have not yet been finalized, Cardi B and Travis Scott are on the short list, Billboard has also learned. A rep for the band declined to comment. In a statement, the NFL said, “It’s a Super Bowl tradition to speculate about the performers for the Pepsi Halftime Show. We are continuing to work with Pepsi on our plans but do not have any announcements to make on what will be another epic show.” (Billboard)
