Cardi B is showing off her Grammy win.
A year-and-a-half after winning the Grammy for Best Rap Album for her debut album, Invasion of Privacy, Cardi finally received her award in the mail. Taking to Instagram Stories on Wednesday night, she filmed herself unboxing the gold gramophone, which includes her name and “Best Rap Album – 2018.”
“I just received my Grammy to the right house,” said Cardi as she pulled it out of the box.

She won Best Rap Album, the first Grammy of her career, at the 61st Grammy Awards in 2018, beating out Pusha-T’s Daytona, Mac Miller’s Swimming, Nipsey Hussle’s Victory Lap, and Travis Scott’s Astroworld.
She also made history as the first solo female artist to win in the category. The last time a female took home the award for Best Rap Album was in 1997, when Lauryn Hill won as part of The Fugees for the group’s album The Score.
While celebrating backstage, Cardi shared the honor with the late Miller. “I’m sharing this Grammy with you, motherfu**er. Rest in peace,” she said.
Cardi is now working on the highly-anticipated follow-up. The album has reportedly been delayed due to a “protracted renegotiation” with her label, Atlantic Records.
