Cardi don’t need more press.

Cardi B shut down a reporter who tried to approach her for an impromptu interview. According to Remezcla, Gelena Solano, who works for Univision’s entertainment news show “El Gordo Y La Flaca,” ambushed the Grammy-winning rapper and her father on the streets of New York.

Cardi was caught off guard when the female reporter tried to persuade her to do the interview, telling her that she was also Dominican. But Cardi wasn’t having it. “Yeah, but do you see how I look?” she asked before revealing that she was with her family.

“I have my daughter, I have my dad. I just don’t look decent. Come on, you’re a woman and you look good with makeup. I don’t look good, my hair’s fu**ed up. Don’t do that to me.”

She then walked inside the store while the determined reporter tried to speak to her father. That’s when Cardi came back outside to confront her for trying to put her dad on camera. “Don’t put my father on TV!” she said. “Because my dad don’t walk around with security.”

Cardi clearly wasn’t here for the surprise ambush. “Don’t come to me with cameras without me knowing. That’s disrespectful. I’m with my child,” she said as her father tried to calm her down.
