Cam’ron went to Ebro in The Morning to open up and talk about his new record and his past personal and professional life. Gingerly and respectfully, “The Old Man” approached the subject about public relationships, recognizing how tender this moment is with Cam recently experiencing such a “public” loss with the death of Tawasa Harris.

Ebro says, “You uhm posted recently about a loss in your personal life. I think over that over the year, you having a public relationship, that was new for me… Public relationship is something that I am not sure you are completely comfortable with.”

“No, we can talk about whatever you want to talk about.” Cam says in his cool secure way.

“Not to talk about it, but would you ever be in a public relationship again.” Ebro responds, seeming to really want to protect the rapper’s privacy.

“Uhm probably not.” Cam states. “Not saying I didn’t have fun when I was doing it. For instance, let’s talk about her real quick. I dated her years ago.”

He continues, “She put a picture of my son on Twitter. This is pre-Instagram. And my baby mom is real serious about her and my son’s privacy. So I cold turkey’d her. Just stopped f*cking with her period.”

Peter Rosenberg asks if it was done in “playfully.” But Cam’ron kept it 100% and recalled the misstep.

“I was doing a video in Philly, she from Philly… and some Philly [ladies] were there… and she got mad. They were like ‘We with Cam, now…’ and she put up a picture of my son in his pajamas like his son be with me. I cold turkey’d her.”

“I deaded her. My baby mom was furious. I deaded her for ten years. Didn’t speak to her no more. It was over. So when my son turned 18, I spoke to her. You know what I am saying, I wouldn’t speak to her no more.”

He continues, “She had just got out a relationship, I had got out of a relationship. We been f*cking around for the year and a half.”

As Cam has mentioned before, some people take it a little too far. People took to social media and said some awful things about his love’s demise.

“My shorty that just passed away. I’m looking and n*ggas like ‘Cam, you sacrificed her.’”

“I’m like ‘What the f*ck are you talking about?’ ‘Your album’s coming out and your fame’s coming back… so…’ What the f*ck is you talking about.”

“‘Cam you killed the girl you need anger management.’ ” Cam showing everyone how stupid people can be, “I killed my girl and I only need anger management? N*ggas is crazy.”

Indeed they are.

Cam keep your head up. Do what you are supposed to do, let that music knock and keep ya girl’s memory close. Good that you can talk about it.
