Black Thought is Preparing to Release Another Album

One of the most heralded MC’s in the game in planning on dropping another album this year. Black Thought, frontman of the world-famous Roots crew, collaborated with celebrated producer 9th Wonder and The Soul Council to release the critically acclaimed Streams Of Thought, Vol. 1. After years of anticipation, Thought finally released a solo project. The album featured appearances from Styles P and Rhapsody. But Thought made a major announcement that another album will be dropping in a few weeks with Salaam Remi handling production duties.

According to the twitter announcement, the album will drop on November 26, 2018. The title of Thought and Remi’s collaborative project Thought is Streams Of Thought, Vol. 2: Traxploitation.

Salaam Remi is a prolific producer who has worked with Ini Kamoze, The Fugees, Amy Winehouse, Nas, Miguel, and others.

The first installment in the Streams Of Thought series is five songs. When the project was released, Thought acknowledged that he had at least two more albums that were ready to go.  The forthcoming second installment is said to have 9 tracks.

2018 had been a banner year for Black Thought. He’s seen by millions every night with the Roots on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. On top of all the music he’s released this year, he managed to spit one the best freestyles of all-time. After almost 25 years in the game, it’s good to see Black Thought get the respect he deserves.
