Cash Money Records boss Birdman is going to tie the knot in the coming weeks. The hip-hop executive’s fiancée Toni Braxton has updated fans on their inevitable wedding ceremony.

In a new interview, Braxton blamed her reality TV show production for holding up the wedding and promised they would walk down the aisle before 2019.

“I’m engaged. He did good right? There’s no date. We almost had a date. We had two dates. But we were doing Braxton Family Values. And we were going through a little drama, and I was like, ‘Okay the wedding is a good thing to get all of us sisters together,’ but I couldn’t get us all together. I said the wedding is not a good reason because it’s messing up my relationship a little bit. He’s was like come on Michelle set a date – because of the show – that’s my middle name, Toni Michelle. He said before the year is out, so I have a couple weeks. He’s 49. Maybe I shouldn’t have said that! [laughs]” (“The Wendy Williams Show”)

Back in March, Toni revealed her intent to have Cash Money star Drake perform at her wedding.

And now, the star has said she would love to get 31-year-old musician Drake – who is signed to Birdman’s Cash Money record label – to take to the stage at the ceremony. Speaking to the Sunday Mirror newspaper, Toni said: “I think Drake is brilliant, I would love him to perform and he’s on Cash Money so we’ll see.” (Yahoo! New Zealand)

During a past appearance on gossip queen Wendy Williams‘ talk show, Birdman gushed over his love for Braxton.

“She’s my life. I love her to death. I’ve been knowing T for a long time, way back like 17, 18 years. That ain’t just happen. … [The wedding ring she’s wearing?] For life. We not married as of yet but,” Baby said when asked about his relationship with Toni Braxton. (“The Wendy Williams Show”)
