Queen Bey came to slay Halloween again.
Beyoncé channeled Toni Braxton by recreating the R&B icon’s eponymous 1993 debut album cover. Taking to Instagram, she shared several photos of herself dressed as Braxton, complete with black leather jacket, white tank top, high-waisted jeans with gold chain belt, and black pixie wig. She also recreated the artwork for the album’s first single, “Another Sad Love Song,” and even gave herself a stage name: Phoni Braxton.

Along with the trio of images, Bey penned a heartfelt note to Braxton. “Sending love and adoration to one of our talented legends,” she wrote. “Thank you for the countless bops. Your tone, your beauty, your range, and your God-given talent is treasured. Loving you always. Have a Happy Halloween my Kings and Queens.”
Braxton was more than flattered by Bey’s Phoni Braxton homage. “Phoni Braxton!? NEVER!!! How do you look better than me on MY album cover?” tweeted the 51-year-old legend. “I LOVE IT, Such a superstar! Thanks for the love sis!”

This has become a yearly tradition for Beyoncé, who transformed into Lil’ Kim for Halloween last year by recreating five of the rapper’s iconic looks.
