Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland are up to something.
Queen Bey has just barely wrapped her “On the Run II” tour with JAY-Z and the rumor mill is already heating up over a potential secret joint project from two-thirds of Destiny’s Child.
An Instagram account popped up on Monday (Oct. 15) with the name “Rose IV You.” It only follows five accounts, Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, Nicki Minaj, TIDAL, and Netflix. The first post is a video of a blooming rose and features a short clip of Beyoncé singing and laughing at the end. The second post is simply a black background with “I.IV” typed in white.
Prior to that, Rowland posted an Instagram video with a snippet of a new song that mentions rose petals. She captioned it with a winking emoji and two roses. “Back up off of me, back up off of me / Rose petals at my feet,” she sings.
Adding more fuel to the fire, Beyoncé posted two photos of her and Rowland posing and laughing at this weekend’s City of Hope charity gala. Social media has since lit up at the prospect of a Bey/Kelly joint project.
While a joint project remains to be seen, Kelly has been actively working on a solo album. Last August, she opened up about her first project since 2013’s Talk a Good Game, which was inspired by motherhood.
“I’m in this really glorious time in life where I feel like I’m receiving a lot of information and I feel like I have to give that back out, too,” she told Beats 1. “My theme is the extraordinary simple life of me. It doesn’t take a lot for me to be a happy girl. I like simple things. I like extraordinary things too, so I had to put that in there. It’s just a really colorful and beautiful record so far. I’m very excited.”
