Live from New York, it’s Anderson .Paak.
The multi-talented musician made his debut as musical guest on this weekend’s episode of “Saturday Night Live” with host Claire Foy.
For his first performance of the evening, .Paak served up his Oxnard single “Tints” with a surprise cameo from Kendrick Lamar. Seated at the drums, he put his shining talents on display with a lit-up Oxnard sign behind him. Rocking a Kangol hat, he jammed with his band, which included singer Tayla Parx. K-Dot then quietly popped up alongside him to deliver his verse while seated on the foot of the stage.
For his second set, a solo .Paak returned to perform “Who R U?” Basking under red lights, he showed off his jiggy, busting out some dance moves, while delivering the Dr. Dre-produced cut.
Backstage, he celebrated his “SNL” debut by taking shots with Kendrick Lamar and dancing to Christine and the Queens’ “Girlfriend.”
.Paak’s new album Oxnard, which also features J. Cole, Snoop Dogg, and Pusha-T, was released last month and debuted at No. 11 on the Billboard 200.
