Joe Biden tweeted, “it’s a new day in America” following his Inauguration and he wasn’t lying.
Biden and Kamala Harris owe it to the culture to fulfill all of their campaign promises. Biden’s first order of business was cleaning up some of the mess Donald Trump made including the Paris Climate Accord and lift his travel ban to African and Muslim countries.
“We’ll press forward with speed and urgency, for we have much to do in this winter of peril and significant possibilities,” Mr. Biden said during his inaugural address at the Capitol. “Much to repair. Much to restore. Much to heal. Much to build, and much to gain.”
In his statement, the POTUS urged Americans to “see each other not as adversaries but as neighbor.”
Trump‘s agendas were divisive, racially-motivated, irrational, and counterproductive. But with a swift of a pen, Joe Biden cleaned up Trump’s pandemic response, environment and climate change, and immigration and diversity issues.
Some of the executive orders were effective immediately, but many of them require other members of his administration to begin a long process to shift the political and social climate back in the right direction.
