New York rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine is back-back. The hip-hop star is reportedly now off of house arrest and making his way back to the social media grind and trolling.
Tekashi 6ix9ine’s Back
On Saturday, 6ix9ine decided to reactivate his social media pages. Today marks the day he’s has his house arrest restrictions lifted and he wasted no time getting Instagram active again.
High-Key Details
Heading into the weekend, reports emerged about Tekashi being expected to be off house arrest by Saturday. However, 6ix9ine would still have a major legal obligation even with his new freedom.
T69’s attorney, Lance Lazzaro, tells us his client will be released from home confinement by Saturday — which will allow him to move into the next phase of his sentence … community service. We’re told 6ix9ine hasn’t done a single hour since he’s been stuck at home. Now that he’ll be able to get out again … Lance says there’s a new problem his legal team is circling — namely, where the hell to put the guy so he can complete 300 hours of community service. (TMZ)
This week, reports surfaced about how much longer 6ix9ine has before becoming a free man. Barring any setbacks, Tek should be free to roam the streets again no later than this weekend.
Today (July 29) marks four days until the end of 6ix9ine’s prison sentence, which he’s been serving at home for the last four months or so. Nearly two years after the 24-year-old rapper pleaded guilty to nine counts of federal racketeering and firearms charges, a rep from 6ix9ine’s camp has confirmed to XXL that he is expected to be released from house arrest this Sunday (Aug. 2). Wait, There’s More
The house arrest update came days after Tekashi 6ix9ine signed on the dotted line to the sum of $5 million with a company called GlobalStreamNow. The amount is expected to cover a virtual performance he’ll livestream in late summer.
Tekashi tells us he’ll hit the stage Saturday, Sept. 5 at 8 PM ET for the live-streamed show, which he says will run for about an hour and feature 12 songs from his album. He’ll also interact online with fans. 6ix9ine is almost done with home confinement, but is keeping the physical location of his live stream under wraps. Remember, there’s still concern about revenge for snitching, so Tekashi says security will be on hand to make sure everything goes off without a hitch. (TMZ)
Before You Go
Before Tekashi 6ix9ine’s $5 million deal came together, he shocked the world by pulling the plug on his popular Instagram and Twitter pages. However, the rap entertainer reportedly credited his upcoming release from house arrest as the motivation for fading to digital black.
6ix9ine tells TMZ … he just temporarily deactivated his Instagram account ahead of his home confinement ending around August 1. The reason? He says his lawyer, Lance Lazzaro, recommended it for the rapper’s safety, so he’s following through. Tekashi says as freedom nears, his legal team thinks he might mistakenly leak some crucial info about his whereabouts, meaning where he is now or where he’ll be next … once he’s cut loose. We’re told Tekashi’s team hasn’t quite decided on that yet, but out of an abundance of caution they’re advising he go dark for a while as they figure out that next move. (TMZ)
