Rally at Your Own Risk: Trump Will Have You Sign Waiver to not Sue if You Contract Coronavirus

If you plan on attending President Trump’s rally in the upcoming week be very careful who you stand next to. In addition, you will have to sign a waiver promising that you are not going to sue if you contract COVID-19 while at the event.

“You’re acknowledging that an inherent danger to COVID-19 exists in any public place the place individuals are current. By attending the rally, you and any visitors voluntarily assume all dangers associated to publicity to COVID-19 and agree not to maintain Donald J. Trump for President, Inc.; BOK Heart; ASM World; or any of their associates, administrators, officers, workers, brokers, contractors, or volunteers answerable for any sickness or harm,” the waiver reads.

His last rally was on March 2nd in Charlotte, N.C., but on Wednesday he announced that he’ll be hosting a rally in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.

But this particular rally is ironic or could it be planned? President Trump’s rally will be held in Tulsa, Oklahoma on June 19th. On that same day in 1865 was the African Americans celebrated their freedom from slavery. Also, in 1921, Tulsa was the town through which a white mob attacked and killed Black residents and destroyed their homes and businesses in what was and still currently is the most vital violent race riots in the U.S.

This should not be a shock to most Americans unless you are unaware of the history but also an unprecedented time due to COVID-19 that is still not fully vaccinated. Not to mention the nationwide protest of police injustice following the death of unarmed African American George Floyd. According to CNN, there are reports that Trump had originally made plans to reopen rallies in July, but due to local state laws as states reopen businesses, crowds are willing to gather and show supports for protest.
