The rap news cycle never ends. Today, online personality Jonny Fastlane focuses on a few juicy topics including Birdman wanting to help pay bills and Big Daddy Kane naming his perfect song.
Birdman Wants To Save The Day
First, Fastlane puts attention on the Cash Money boss focused on helping out people in New Orleans. Then, he checks in on Lil Xan getting hospitalized. Finally, Jonny speaks on Big Daddy Kane naming his perfect song.
Lil Xan Receives Medical Attention After Panic Attack
According to reports, Lil Xan was hospitalized last weekend after having both hallucinations and a panic attack. Xan’s mom ultimately called an ambulance to come save her son’s life.
He was rushed to the hospital by ambulance Sunday while at his mom’s house in, of all places, Corona, CA. He’s been quarantining there with her, and she’s the one who called 9-1-1 after seeing Xan hallucinating so badly it was freaking her out. Xan says doctors told him he’d suffered a panic attack, but he doesn’t remember much of the episode. As for what might’ve triggered it … he says he feels it was caused by anxiety he’s been feeling while cooped up inside. He says he’s been in and out of hospitals over anxiety issues for years, but this is the first time it’s happened since the coronavirus pandemic hit … and it was the worst one. (TMZ)
Wait, There’s More
Back in 2018, the rapper checked into rehab for opioid addiction.
As for why it took until now for Xan to check into rehab — after announcing his intentions back on November 15 — we’re told the facility where he was supposed to check himself in had a mix-up with patients staying longer than initially anticipated. The small hiccup has now been resolved … allowing Xan to check himself in. (TMZ)
Before You Go
The overdose deaths of Mac Miller and Lil Peep reportedly played a key role in his past rehab decision. Both of the deceased rappers discussed mental health topics such as anxiety and depression in much of their music.
The 22-year-old cloud rapper was inspired to seek treatment after seeing two of his contemporaries, Mac Miller and Lil Peep, die of an opioid overdose. Lil Xan, whose stage name is derived from the prescription drug Xanax, has been open about his struggles with opiates and benzodiazepines. “In the beginning of 2017 I had my own demons with the drug Xanax,” he said in an interview earlier this year. “It got out of hand so I wanted to make a movement, Xanarchy, about just nothing but anti-Xan use and that’s what I’m really trying to promote in ‘Betrayed.’” (Consequence of Sound)
