As the United States continues to deal with the coronavirus outbreak, Universal Music CEO Lucian Grainge has been hospitalized with the virus, Variety reports.
The 60-year-old music executive is receiving treatment at UCLA’s medical center in Los Angeles according to Variety. Grainge recently celebrated his birthday at the Madison Club in La Quinta, California on February 29 which is the reported time frame that an infected person will start to experience symptoms of the virus.
Universal Music Group offices in Santa Monica were officially closed on Friday after an employee tested positive for the virus. That employee turned out to be Grainge who as an older adult is at a higher risk of being infected by COVID-19.
Grainge nor Universal Music has made an official statement about Grainge’s diagnosis.
