LeBron James got some new ink and it’s a tribute to one of his idols, Kobe Bryant.

James previewed that he visited Vanessa Aurelia on Wednesday on his Instagram story, and the artist was putting some new artwork on his thigh. Anthony Davis was also there to get some new ink in honor of Black Mamba.

It’s unclear what it is but it looks like a snake, or possibly Kobe’s face, and there are words under it. We’re not sure what it says but it looks like it says something along the lines, “Mamba 4 Life.” It also looks like there’s still more work to be done.

The Los Angeles Lakers are playing against the Portland Trail Blazers at the Staples Center on Friday night. James will probably officially unveil the new work during the game.
