It doesn’t look like Mystikal will escape prison any time soon. After a judge denied his request to have his bond reduced from $3 million to $500,000, it looks like he’s going to have to sit up waiting his trial on rape and kidnapping charges in a Louisiana jail.
As per KSLA, Mystikal appeared before Caddo Parish Judge Romana Emanuel today (Oct. 5) to ask for that his bond be diminished by a third, which she promptly denied. Mystikal has been anticipating trial for the most recent year at Caddo Correctional office, where he stays on charges stemming from an alleged kidnapping that occurred in October 2016 at a gambling club in Shreveport, La.
He has already plead not guilty to the charges of first-degree assault and second-degree hijacking. The anonymous lady denounced both Mystikal, born Michael Tyler Henry, and another man, Averweone Darnell Holman, of assaulting her. Holman faces similar charges.
A third individual, a lady named Tenichia Monieck Wafford, has likewise been accused of obstruction of justice in relation to the alleged assault for reportedly trying to convince the woman to retract her story.
Mystikal’s last good news was in November of 2017, when he secured lawyer Timothy Yazbek to take his case. He’s expected in court again on Oct. 25 for his next hearing.
