Beyonce and Lizzo lead the 51st NAACP Image Awards nominations with eight and six nominations, respectively.
The two-hour award ceremony will be airing on February 22 on BET Networks. With the Queen prevailing with six nominations, that includes, Outstanding Album, Homecoming: The LIVE Album, and Female Artist, song with “Spirit,” song-contemporary with “Before I Let Go,” duo, group or collaboration with Blue Ivy, SAINt JHN & WizKid for the song “Brown Skin Girl.” She also got additional nominations for her Netflix show that categorized as special and documentary-television.
Lizzo scored with six nominations. She had a phenomenal year in 2019 with her latest single “Truth Hurts.” She was nominated for Entertainer of the year, prior to Tyler Perry and more. As well as, Outstanding album, female artist, song, music video and more. H.E.R., Chris Brown, Ari Lennox and more are nominated with various awards.
