Grammy-winning rapper T.I. is here for justice. The King of the South has stepped forward to show a woman support after a story went viral about a former Indiana daycare owner’s husband having child molestation charges dropped.
Tip went to Instagram Wednesday to speak out on the situation.
Last night, Tip’s wife Tiny also went to social media to address the situation.
According to reports, a recommendation from therapists and community partners to prosecutors ultimately resulted in the charges getting dropped.
The case against Gregory Michael Johnston, 38, was dismissed without prejudice, meaning the case could be filed again, Johnston’s attorney Glenn Grampp said. Johnston was charged in February with six counts of child molesting as a Level 1 felony and one count of dissemination of matter harmful to minors, a level 6 felony. He posted $15,000 cash bond the same day he was arrested, according to court records. Grampp said his bond and Johnston’s obligations to home detention have all been released. (USA Today)
The daycare closed following the man’s publicized winter 2019 arrest.
Johnston was arrested in February. The victim said Johnston had choked, threatened and molested them. The alleged incidents happened at Lil’ Piggies Child Care LLC in Evansville. And Johnston is the husband of the daycare owner. The daycare closed after Johnston’s arrest. (Tri-State Homepage)
