New York rapper Nas and DJ Khaled are sending lots of love to the memory of late Belly actor Louie “Ox” Rankin. The hip-hop pair went to social media this week to reflect on the fallen entertainer.
Both Nas and Khaled hit up their Instagram pages to remember Rankin’s contribution to music and film.
Last night, Rankin’s Twitter page delivered the crushing death news to followers.
Rankin’s executive assistant Jewlz Sykes also confirmed the sad news on Instagram.
In recent years, Rankin has worked with various high-profile entertainers in the music biz and movie-making industry.
Louie, who is known for his Grammy Award winning 1992 hit Typewriter and calling himself the ‘Original Don Dada’, is thought to have died from injuries he sustained in the crash. The star was best known for starring in Shottas as Teddy Bruckshot and 1998 crime drama Belly, in which he played the character Ox alongside Nas and DMX. In 2016, Louie and Nas both appeared in DJ Khaled’s music video for his track Nas Album Done. (Metro)
