Ty Dolla $ign had “The Tonight Show” going up on a Tuesday.

The L.A. hitmaker hit the East Coast for the first televised performance of his latest single “Purple Emoji” on “The Tonight Show.” With a giant cross behind him and below him, he delivered the J. Cole collaboration with help from his band. He also debuted a rock-tinged track called “Hottest in the City,” which appears to feature vocals from Juicy J.

At the end of the performance, he shouted out A$AP Rocky, who is currently on trial in Sweden. “Free A$AP Rocky!” said Ty.

He is now gearing up for his new album and can also be heard on Megan Thee Stallion’s new single “Hot Girl Summer,” which drops Friday.
