After premature reports of his passing, the family of John Singleton has decided to take the Oscar-nominated film director off life support.
Singleton suffered from a stroke almost two weeks ago, which hospitalized him. AP reports a statement from the family of Singleton was released on Monday stating the end of life support is “an agonizing decision, one that our family made over a number of days with the careful counsel of John’s doctors.”
Earlier today (April 29), a representative for Singleton disputed claims the creator of films such as Boyz in the Hood and Baby Boy had already passed.
Currently, Singleton is in a Los Angeles area hospital.
