Cardi B Fights Back After Getting Hit W/ Prostitution + Herpes Claims

Cardi B

New York rapper Cardi B isn’t about having her name dragged. The Invasion of Privacy hitmaker is taking legal action against a couple of online personalities for making some pretty serious accusations about her.

According to reports, Cardi has gone after two vloggers over prostitution, sexually transmitted disease and drug claims.

Cardi filed the lawsuit against Latasha K — who has a blog called unWinewithTashaK. According to the suit, Tasha posted a vid last April saying Cardi’s baby might be born with intellectual disabilities. She’s also suing Starmarie Ebony Jones, who, according to the suit, posted a video in September accusing Cardi of doing Molly and cocaine … engaging in prostitution. Jones allegedly says of Cardi, “Just a Grammy nominated prostitute running around spreading her herpes.” (TMZ)

A few hours ago, Cardi released a video statement defending a decision to trademark her signature “Okurrr” catchphrase.

“So you h*es is mad because I trademarked ‘Okurrr.’ Let me tell you something, every time I go to a corporate meeting, these folks be like, ‘Oh my God, can we just please hear you say ‘Okurrr’?’ Every time I go to a TV show, ‘Hey, hey, can you please teach me how to say ‘Okurrr’?’ … You think I ain’t gonna profit off this sh*t? B*tch white folks do it all the motherf*cking time. You’re gonna be mad at me because I want to get some motherf*cking money? Huh. Let me tell you something, while I’m still here, I’m gonna secure all the f*cking bags. Let me tell y’all a secret too, it’s 2019 b*tches, it’s a lot of ways to get rich. Y’all just got to get ya selves some business and stop minding motherf*cking others. I’ma get this motherf*cking bag while I’m here, h*e. I don’t give a f*ck.”

This week, buzz developed about Cardi going the legal route to trademark her signature expression.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Cardi, 26, made the major “money move” on March 11 for merchandising purposes. The New York rapper has plans to plaster the phrase on paper goods — such as cups and posters, according to The Blast. “Okurrr” will also be featured on a soon-to-be-released clothing like that features pants, shirts and hoodies. While the phrase only has three R’s, Cardi has also filed a trademark for a version with only 2 R’s, The Blast reported. (People)

Last year, Cardi decoded the meaning and popularity behind “Okurrr.”

“It’s like a cold pigeon in New York City. It depends on the situation that you’re in. Like if somebody checks somebody it’s like ‘Okurrr.’” (“The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon”)
